Pain is minimal, may cause some slight but brief discomfort, a numbing cream is applied prior to the treated area.
May experience, temporary swelling, bruising or itchiness around the site of treatment, usually settles in 1-2 days.
Usually take 4-6 weeks to take effect, but maximum results can take several months.

What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy has become increasingly popular over the past few years as a restorative treatment for hair loss and improving the skins texture and appearance.
A form of regenerative medicine, the treatment utilises your own blood which is drawn during the appointment, the plasma is then extracted from this sample and then reintroduced back into the skin.

The plasma contains platelets, they play a special role in terms of restoration whereby they contain substances like bioactive proteins which include growth factors.
Through research and extensive findings, these growth factors have been shown to initiate accelerated tissue repair, hair growth, skin rejuvenation and collagen production.

For hair restoration; PRP promotes the growth of hair follicles by stimulating stem cells and other cell structures that lie within the hair follicle, PRP is proven to be effective in the treatment of alopecia in both men and women.
The Hair Restoration Journey
TREATMENT DAY
1. Ensure fit for treatment, Joseph will go through the process again, take before and after photos for medical record purposes and run through any side effects and aftercare.
2. Blood will be extracted from your arm and placed into a machine called a centrifuge.
3. The centrifuge then spins the blood rapidly for 5 minutes, this separates the different components of blood.
The platelets are extracted which form the PRP and this is now ready to use.
4. In the meantime, a local anaesthetic will have been applied to your scalp to minimize discomfort.
5. The PRP is administered into the scalp, focusing on areas of hair loss, thinning and where requires restoration.
EXPECTATIONS
Day 1
Do not expect to see any visible results after your 1st treatment.
It is also not uncommon to still experience hair loss issues to begin with as the platelet rich plasma to rejuvenate the cells in the scalp in order to repair and restore.
4 Weeks / Session 2
Results may or may not be evident at this point but it is important to remain patient.
The second treatment aims to build upon the first session which would have provided an initial cell stimulation for hair growth.
8 Weeks / Session 3
Although varies person to person, some may expect to see improvements in volume and texture, however growth is still likely to require more time.
This is why the third session is a crucial step to boost the PRP benefits once again.
3 Months
This is where you will expect to start seeing results.
The early signs of the process will start to show itself. New hairs may beginning to show which is an indicator of the restoration and what is happening underneath.
Your hair will become much healthier looking overall.
6 Months
Final treatment results will be expected here.
New hair covering badling/sparse areas will be covered as well your existing hair appearing healthier and thicker.

7-9 Months Later
